Why do some champs get shorter Qs then others in team builder
I can take say ahri for example for mid lane and get a short Q time. Then i can swap over to karma and get a very long Q time. Both Q up as mages and both are mages so whats the deal?

Because queue times are not static and are based on what people are currently looking for? On top of someone can reject your champion pick increasing queue times even further.
People would rather have "meta" mids so they probably decline karma and accept ahri.
