feels like my CC is pointless sometimes

with so many gap closers in the game now if i am playing an immobile champ my CC is the only thing that keeps me alive. Now most CC is already a skill shot which is obviously gonna take proper aiming to hit and has a pretty decent cooldown on it so u cant spam them. Then you have the super mobile champs of today that have dodge moves that have a much smaller cd but are essentially point in click . Gets them over walls for escapes or initiate and makes life hell for any one who doesnt have one thats not a tank. Then made worse by the fact that even if i hit my cc they have no problems catching back up to me as i run for my life.
