Why I think Mordekaiser is cool, and don't like the proposed change.

So, back when I was playing regularly Mordekaiser was never really my main (I was generally Top Tryndamere or Jungle Sejuani), but he was definitely one of the most fun for me to play. Whenever I was playing Mordekaiser I really enjoyed the sort of feeling of invincibility that he had. Of course, Mordekaiser is not actually invincible, and I got myself in over my head more times than I probably should have - he's kind of a slow guy, after all, and he can't really stop people from chasing him.

So the solution to any situation in which I was cornered was just one thing... "Stand and fight".

And that's where the rush came. It's in those times where, you get ganked, and they think they have you because your health bar is down to 20% so they jump all over you, but then you pop on your blade shield and just start bopping away at them with your Q and E and smash them - one goes down, but you only have 40 health left, so that jungler stays on you hoping to get that kill, but he dies, with you at 10 health and 200 shield remaining.

"Oh crap!", they realize, so next time they come at you with 3 people - only now you're level 8 and have some damage items. This time you get down to 30% health before you eat their ranged character with an ult siphon ignite combo (Mage or ADC, not super important) and turn it into a 2v2; then when you kill the second one, and the third one realizes all to late that it was a mistake and starts to run, but too late since your ghost is still pounding them and you snatch away that last bit of health from them with another Siphon of distruction.

From that point on, there are no more ganks, now you're the ganker, and the enemies don't try to fight you anymore, they run... they run as fast as they can as soon as you enter their vision. You become the walking monolith that everyone moves around to try and get at your teammates and you lead from the front because they know if they rush you they're dead.

Yeah, his lack of CC and any kind of mobility kinda sucked hard, and it could really be frustrating to play sometimes when your enemies just jump around and shoot at you for days, but those moments where you turned around and ate them, when you came ahead out of that 1v4 turned 2v3, that's what made it all worth it.

I won't comment here on the actual mechanics behind the planned Mordekaiser changes since other people have already done that. Instead I will say this: Aside from everything else, the feeling that you need to be babysat completely kills the fun of Mordekaiser. You're no longer a monolith, you're no longer this presence that sends people running just by walking toward them. Now you're a co-dependant, someone who constantly needs to have his hand held, who can't do anything by himself. I don't care if it's the most successful rework ever, if his win rate jumps to 95% (the lost games only being lost to a team that also has a Mordekaiser); this change will emasculate him. It kills it's whole being.
