New Ranked Queues Lack Clarity

In Season 5, ranked was very straightforward - if you want to solo or play with a friend, go Solo/Duo Queue. If you have a team of 5, do Team Ranked. Sure, groups of 3 and 4 got excluded, but the vast majority were ok with sacrificing that for the sake of balance.

This upcoming season, with both Dynamic and Solo Queue, there isn't a clear choice for solo players. The queues have separate ladders, so investing time equally into both is counterproductive. Obviously, the majority of solo players would want to play with other solos. However, Riot has said that most rewards will likely shift to Dynamic. This is going to lead to a split in Solo players, which I can't see ending up well.

Personally, I'd like Team Ranked to stay, Dynamic to be capped for 2 or 3 player queues only, and Solo Queue to stick around. If matchmaking with 2's and 3's is a problem, then I'm fine with losing Solo and making Dynamic for 1-3 players. I think 4-1 pairings are unhealthy and don't do a good job of representing the skill of any one player in the game, whether it is one of the 4 or the solo. 5 player queues existing in the same queue as solo players makes no sense to me. It's just too easy for a single player's skill to be grossly over- or under-estimated by the system when being able to choose all of their teammates.
