Idea for Getting More Community Feedback

I often see Rioters saying that they would love to get more player input on ideas, and I don't doubt the truth of that, but it can be hard for players to interact with Reds when the community and Rioters split between Boards and Reddit. The one place where everyone is united is in the game. I think that Riot could use the client to (optionally) poll the community for what they would like to see. Sure, not every player will choose to answer the question, but out of the millions of daily players I would guess at least half wouldn't mind taking a few seconds to give their opinion. These optional polls could be a great way for Riot to get a fast look at what the community feels. For example, changing Dauntless Ahri to Challenger Ahri was a pretty controversial move, and if Riot had the polls to back up that decision, there would likely be much fewer threads on this topic. Alternatively, the community could have voted not to change the name, which of course wouldn't be the final say, but at least Riot would know that they were making an unpopular decision ahead of time.

If you guys have any thoughts on this/other ideas please feel free to comment.

Up-voted, I would be willing to take time for it. I have found polls on my e-mail that were outdated :(

Even if I didn't have an opinion on W/E the subject, that would be fine also I simply would skip what I don't know or care about.

I mean, they already do surveys in the client.

I would like to see Boards integrated with the client, though, the way they've integrated announcements with the launcher. Now I can browse without starting up a new browser window!
