Gameplay Question for Riot Regarding New Soraka Alignment Mechanics

On the PBE there are some changes being made to Soraka that look to add some levels of complexity and mastery to her kit to achieve good healing throughput. Her new (Q) Starcall will now place alignment on her if any enemy champion is hit.

If Starcall damages a champion, Soraka gains Alignment for 3 seconds, restoring 30/45/60/75/90 (+ .4 AP) health and 20/30/40/50/60 (+ .2 AP) mana when the effect expires.

Upon casting (W) Astral Infusion - Alignment is transferred to her target refreshing it's duration.

Restores 70/100/130/160/190 (+ .6 AP) health to another champion ally. If cast while affected by Alignment, Soraka will transfer the effect to her target with a refreshed duration. Cannot be cast if Soraka is below 5% health

That being said will Alignment be considered a SELF healing buff for the sake of Grievous wounds? Is this change being done to improve counterability to Soraka's healing throughput via proper itemization? item 3123 item 3033

Or will the buff read Source: Soraka and ignore it?

Sources saraka, but this is far more balanced and manageable to deal with over the current heal

Yeah having ~half of the throughput on a HOT is pretty good cause you can still nuke them down if the burst is there. Good post.

They took out the mana...but added a ms boost AFTER the effect ends.
