Plat way more toxic than gold

Today is my 3rd day in plat and I've seen a sudden and drastic change in game play

More people completely getting annihilated in lane? Like, by 8 minutes, 0/5 mid.
More flamers. Not specifically to people who are feeding but to others in general
More ragequitters. do i even need to explain Why is there such a drastic change? is it purely coincidence, is it because the kids come out during summer, or is the stereotype "the higher you go up the ladder, the less flame there is" completely wrong?

(checked lolnexus for games, all plat 2-4 no golds)

Plat's more toxic because they're thirsty for Diamond

It is mostly because plat players don't care as much about "toxicity" as lower tier players. They do not mind being flamed and do not mind calling out others when they need to be called out.

Going to agree with this guy. Even in mid gold, its standard to call people out on mistakes. Sometimes i've found helpful info. Usually its just aggressive scorn.

I asked my friend who's Diamond 5. He said plat was pretty bad.

There was a video I watched recently, it said the higher you are the more knowledge you have. Which is true, but that also means the people who go on tilt, and rage have more knowledge, so they see what you did wrong, but still wont acknowledge there own mistakes.

Gold is where people are happy they got out of Silver.

Platinum is where people wish to be Diamond.

plat made me quit ranked for season 4. so many games could of been won yet the only games i ever did win in plat was because i managed to be blessed and everyone on my team never raged. honestly plat is easy with teams like that because you know the enemy is already raging super hard.

I've gone from silver-diamond a few times and never noticed much of a difference in the players. Some people rage, some people afk, some people troll, and a lot of people are chill and just want to play the game. Just accept it as a part of solo q and appreciate the good games you get. Oh, and listen to good music. That helps a lot.
