Can we get a warning before we ban another person's pick intent?

Also, a warning for when you're about to ban your own champion intent...

Yes, I did that this morning. Stop laughing

A friend that I regularly play with did that a couple of days go.

She was so mortified that she dodged. And now I won't let her live it down. XD

That moment when you hate a champion even when you play them :P

I like how I made the exact same thread and got downvoted. I don't understand the boards community honestly lol

It is simple. The first 5-10 people set the tone for what gets upvoted and what gets downvoted. First 5 downvote? Incoming downvotes. First 5 upvote? Incoming upvotes. People are not smart enough to actually formulate an opinion themselves (without bias). If Riot wanted a chance to fix this they could make upvote/downvote totals invisible for the first day, or maybe just 6 hours or something and maybe topics with a lot of upvotes would actually start to mean something.

Same thing happened when I posted about the Diamond DQ changes making it impossible (without smurfing or finding other teams to play vs) for Diamond teams to play competitively. Nobody upvoted my thread, less then a day later it was one of the highest upvoted topics.

thats actually incredibly accurate and can confirm

Or when jungling without Smite... So many simple ways to reduce huge furstrations.

Or, ya know, you could just pay attention to what's happening?

ReZisT Lust4 votes

is it too hard to just look?

Punkkee1 votes

yes

ah ok

Habitz1 votes

That doesn't matter. If I want to ban zed I will ban him even if someone on my team wants freelo.

Apostle of Light3 votes

Or, ya know, you could just look a few inches to the left before you click ban?

Tazimuss3 votes

How about you pay attention?

I find it funny how all the people who suggest that you could just partake in the champ select process, instead of not paying attention/tabbing out, are downvoted.

Why do you need a warning for this? You already have a warning in the form of looking at the champs that your team has locked in for their intent. Just look their before you ban someone, it isn't that difficult. If people got the warning for everything they wanted in this thread you would spend 30 seconds just trying to get rid of all the pop ups and warnings.

If they implemented this (imo incredibly needless addition) I would hope it would have a function to turn off, because it would be another addition that would just annoy me (not that I have ever really banned someones champ, but if I am doing it, it is for a reason and I already know it is happening).

I like this idea. Once I accidentally banned one of my teammates champions when I nearly banned another's. I switched at the last moment in a panic ban when I noticed their champion, only to ban another teammates champ. :( I felt really bad afterwards when my friend pointed it out to me. They didn't say anything. A warning that you're banning someone's pick intent would be great to avoid this.

Just had a game yesterday. My duo was 1st pick and going Yasuo so I went Braum supp. Our jungle was Jarvan, Malph top with a Lucian adc. thats 4 AOE KNOCKUPS!! Jarvan bans Yasuo because he wasnt paying attention.

Can we get a feature where you can't dodge in champ select if everyone's locked in? I'm getting so sick of going through 5 minutes of banning and picking and having someone troll dodge at the last possible moment before the game starts. Then I have to go through another 3 minutes of queue and 5 minutes of banning and picking. It's annoying af

Personally I'd rather lose out on 8 minutes of waiting than spend 20+ minutes ingame with a teammate that really doesn't want to be there.

Spôôked1 votes

If someone doesn't want to be in the matchup, then dodge before everyone locks in :P

But you're right too

philosifer1 votes

I would rather do that than have to start a 4v5 cause someone had a power surge or some Internet trouble. Trust me I glad we just find a new game rather than auto losing

Summonerrr 12 votes

Not if that pick intent is Teemo

ayNigerianPrince2 votes

How about you pay attention? : ^)

4th3t0s1 votes

You're assuming people already use pick intent, that's cute

Please.

Athenes Lulu1 votes

Some people often switch pick intents rather quickly, so I don't think it's gonna work well.

PiVoRx1 votes

Pick intended champions should be locked from banning, more poeple ban their own team mates on purpose than by mistake.

Unless your teammate wants Taliyah, in which case it's someone's duty to save the team and ban her.

Habitz1 votes

I will always ban zed.

AwesomeChad1 votes

YES PLEASE. I banned a person's pick intent and they troll picked another champ and afk'd after feeding 8 kills to mid lane.

Lirik1 votes

can league be a carebear game already ive waited long enough can you make it more carebear already please

WacingTheFind1 votes

But the trolls that do this on purpose will lose too much time. kappa

Can people like... announce what they want to play?

Pick Intent works fine and all but most people dont pay attention so they just ban whatever strike their fancy :P
