To me, she seems just as strong as any support, so I don't know why so many people on the boards keep calling her broken... She's got great peel and disengage, but the same could be said about other supports like Braum, Leona, Nami, etc.

In a word, her utility.
In a sentence, she punishes divers and aggro players, basically denying the CoD players of League their fix of kills. Thus they hate her.
she has some of the best peel gives movement speed to allies has the most cockblocking shield in the game, can shield turrets has an ult which creates awkward situations for the enemy team her knock up at max range is a death sentence if landed, it goes through minions and it is on a short enough cool down to spam if mana permits, and she has great speed for positioning. she is essentially everything you could want in a support rolled into one champion
best peel in the gamewhile being EASIEST champion in the game while using exhaust and abusing redemption.

but Janna's shield does something no one else's does. it also gives +x amount of ad. it scales off of her ap. and she has an ulti that not only heals, but it knocks enemies away. Janna is a very good support
because she has basically everything that a support wants. she's ranged, has a shield, multiple disengage tools, a slow, ally buff (her w MS and shield ad buff), a heal, and disruption, all while being the easiest support in the game.
if jungle wasn't so ridiculous right now i'd almost argue that she's the easiest way to achieve diamond
She has the best peel in the game, a strong shield that also gives AD, and a good ult can win a game.
