ELO Hell isnt real, but you'll have to play 500 games to carry yourself out

Its so sad to be matched with people who don't know how to counterpick, peel, teamfight, or cs, game in and game out. Yes, statistically you'll carry yourself out EVENTUALLY (Keyword). And I think thats the most frustrating aspect. I'm placed in a tier where people don't know basic game mechanics because of Placements, (And I went 6-4, the only reason why I ended bronze was because I was terrible in seasons 1-3, even though last season I was being matched with Gold 3s and Gold 4s).

People in Bronze do not listen, they want to go Teemo top against an Irelia, they want to go Tryndamere jungle when your entire team is squishy, they want to dive the ADC as a tank and leave their carries exposed while the enemy Reksai picks apart the undefended backline. They want to only ban the champions that counter them and not the pieces of cancer such as Jinx and Sejuani and then complain about the team losing when they won their lane (since they banned their counters) but every other lane lost because they let the enemy team get overpowered champions.

Its truly ridiculous. I am not a Platinum or Diamond player, I cannot go 24/0 and carry every game. So Im stuck in Bronze for 300~ games until I carry myself to Gold and then I'll get a little gold banner and that'll be my reward. Its almost as if this game was designed to be that way.

If there is no hard reset next season I'm quitting this game I'm sick and tired of this garbage

bye?

i was put in bronze/silver every season and got out fairly easily i'm in plat now you either try too hard to carry or don't put enough trust in your team so you take kills force rolls and so on and honestly it doesn't get much better as you climb unless you hit high masters.. maybe

This is pretty much exactly my experience. I don't claim to be a Diamond or even a Platinum level player, but I regularly get lumbered with players who absolutely NOBODY can carry. I'm definitely better than "Bronze level" (whatever that actually means), but why do I have to be Plat or Diamond level just to win games in Bronze? If the system worked then all you'd need to get out of Bronze would be to be Silver level, all you'd need to get out of Silver would be to be Gold level etc etc. Bronze is meant to be the lowest level, so why is it so easy to be trapped there when your skill is CLEARLY above that of the rest of the numbskulls therein (I remember with particular vehemence an unbelievably useless player who went support Sejuani, didn't get a support item or Sightstone and was still trying to charge up the Rod of Ages she acquired at 26 minutes into the game by the time we lost)?

People say "if you're in Bronze it's because you're bad" but that is provably not always true.

The worst thing for me is that I wouldn't even PLAY Ranked if I had the choice- I never bothered before, always just stuck to Draft Normal for the full draft experience without all the extra stress. But here on the OCE Server Riot decided to disable Normal Draft Queue for a truly retarded reason (we don't get Dominion either) so I don't have the choice.

Part of the fun of ranked if the accomplishment of climbing. I started S3 at Silver V and it was horrible trying to climb to gold but when I finally got there it felt great and I just wanted to keep climbing.

Yes it is hard to climb, but if you stop playing the game to climb and more to learn then you will become that Platinum or Diamond player that can go 24/0 and easily carry out.

I've started actually dodging games. I can only play fairly late at night, and that's when the trolls are the worst. I've had a horrible losing streak, and at least three of those losses can be attributed to the same troll.

But, I know that, eventually, the RNG is going to balance out.
