No really. If you are gold or below there is something wrong in your game. Afkers, feeders, statistically speaking should occur less on your team since you aren't a feeder or afker (and they have 1 more summoner that isnt you, which swings the chance of a feeder/rager/whatever to be in the enemy's favor).

After every game you should ask yourself "What did I do wrong". Trust me, if you are below Diamond, you did something wrong. Focus on improving yourself, NOT YOUR TEAMMATES, YOU WILL NEVER SEE THEM AGAIN.

IF YOU DONT CARRY, NOONE ELSE WILL. And if you aren't good enough to carry a team of dimwits then you are right where you belong.

THE ENEMY TEAM IS BRONZE/SILVER FOR A REASON, REALIZE THAT. The game doesnt end when they are up 5-0, they will make mistakes because they are trash.

And heres another little hint. MORALE IS A HUGE PART OF THIS GAME. AT THE BEGINNING OF EVERY GAME I REMIND MY TEAMMATES "Hey guys, Win or lose, remember, this is a game. I love you all. That being said, I don't play to lose so lets win this boys". You will be surprised how being positive will change your teammates' play. Chances are one of your teammates is on tilt, and reminding them that THIS IS A GAME will bring them back to reality.

League rage and road rage are the same thing, we rage at others for their mistakes but when we mess up its "my bad" "no biggie". Its human nature to deflect blame and this is what prevents us from improving

Before Im flogged off as a Silver player, I am climbing, and I am climbing insanely fast. I'm currently on a 12 game winstreak, and this is not by chance. Its not only because I've improved, its because I treat my teammates with dignity and respect. Even if you STOMPED or WON, everyone does several things wrong and it is their job to notice them and rid these flaws from their game. What your teammates do is irrelevant. If you have an afker or a rager or a feeder, any introductory statistics course will teach you that it is only a matter of time before you start encountering them on opposing teams (and you should encounter them 20% more, since you aren't one of those players [hopefully])

You almost got it right. "ELO Hell" is the area where you have reached exactly where matchmaking wants you to be when you think you deserve a higher tank. This is usually tied to lower ranked players, but it can effect people all the way up into diamond 1.

If you told me this last season I'd agree, but not anymore.

Gold 2:

  1. Decent teammates,
  2. Nearly non-existent negativity,
  3. I always get higher pick and/or role I want.

Gold 1:

  1. Complete idiots for teammates,
  2. If I managed to win, it's because I grabbed my team by their balls and hauled them to the enemy nexus,
  3. Flame, toxicity and whatever you can think off,
  4. ALWAYS get placed as the last pick (last record - 10 times in a row).

No, it haven't happened once or twice. I'm in Gold 1 for the ~7th time this season and I'm getting complete vegetables in the team again.

PS. I was high Plat last season. It's simply impossible for me to get past Gold 1, no matter who and how I play.

You never played in Diamond ELO. Lol You don't know ELO Hell till you get to Diamond.

Agreed, but to some extent. Kind of failed my promos to S1. A lot. Despite my climbs earlier made. Granted I faced AFK players and trolls but we managed somehow to pull off. Even got the troll to cooperate once.

But when I'm doing alright in lane, suddenly other lanes start losing.

It doesn't happen often! Bull shit. I already had 3 0-6-0 Yasuo and that 1-9 vlad on my team as well as ragers such as a blitz who refused to coordinate with me and play as a team because he'd rather afk as well as several team mates who ignored crucial pings that lost me many games out of the 15 or so that I played.

I only had 2 faults which was one singed jungle game where I got counter jungled hard b6 the enemy nid who I fought desperately against but lost by 100 every time, but I immediately got my team 3 kills in return but they had already lost their lanes so it was too late. And a bad shaco game where there was too much map pressure for me to handle and I should have played better.

And I would count that malphite mid game but 2 things happened the first being 2 ganks pre 6, one from over extending and the second immediately as I got back into the lane by the top lane volibear which I then switched into passive mode. And then our jungler was more than kind enough to feed the talon more and bot lane pushed too hard and ignored all my pings because I warded the river to watch for him since he was getting fed. My score was actually 1--2-1, not 1-3-1. I died in the last 3 seconds of the map to the fed Talon who tower dived me and I forgot that I just bought zhonyas so the kill had no effect on the outcome of that match. So that's 2 maybe 3 loss that I contributed to, 2 of which I attempted to make a come back in but could not. Now look at all the other losses and explain those.

Oh and that trist match doesn't count. My support stole my cs because he was being a baby because he didn't know how to relic properly and the jungler who took my role ganked bot 3 times and failed horribly and continued to blame me for the loss of that game. I didn't die until the end where I was instantly killed by the enemy eve who was 7-2 and when I tried to take on the fed Draven and failed because he used heal and I failed to get a crit aka I stopped caring about the lost game at that point and Yolo failed to kill a target with about 400 hp left.

BTW this is coming from a guy who want from b2 to S2 in 2 days in season 3 and only failed to make gold because the season ended but made gold in a day from S4 in season 4. Gold 5 is full of bronze garbage. I know exactly where my faults are, what they were, and accept them as the mistakes that I made. This is how you improve and climb and I only managed to touch my gold 5 promos once in S4 before being dragged right back down by ragers, afkers, refusals to communicate and play as a team.
