It is, and yes, in 500 games I'll get to my "true" ELO, but why should this be. Why can't we have a full reset so I don't have to deal with having a low MMR from being bad in seasons 1-3.

Two glorious examples of why it takes so long to get out of Bronze.

A troll mid laner, who, after going up 3-0, jungled the entire game and refused to cooperate with team, feeding the enemy until they caught up. Yes, mathematically speaking the other team will get the same amount of trolls, but its all luck based and random. In my case, I am getting a disproportionately high amount of trolls on my teams than on the opposing ones, and when the enemy team does have a troll we would have won the game handily anyway. The trolls on my teams appear when I am performing well, not when Im doing bad, which further hinders me as a player.

And this is all from my last 6 matches alone. Please do tell me that its fair that I have to grind 500 games to get silver when I would be silver if we got a fucking full reset in the first place. How should a Silver 1/Low Gold player get placed in Bronze 4 after winning 6 of his 10 placement matches (and getting matched with Gold 3s and Gold 2s).

If I had a decent playing field, with teammates who actually knew how to play the game, I would easily be at least Silver 5 by now. Why is the burden placed on me. Of my last 20 games I have legitimately only performed poorly in 4, (One on Olaf, who i didn't know how to play very well, one on Rumble where I got jungler focus, one on Ekko, and one on Vayne, the other 2/5, 3/6 games were because my team had fed already and the game was lost).

I think that elo ranges, or hells, exist if you want them to. If you find yourself in games where you are hating on your team, and your team is hating you back, then you're going to be playing nothing but games which are difficult and discouraging. The trick with playing any public game on your own is that you really have to not care about what other people say or do, and you only need to focus on doing what makes you happy; as long as it doesn't come at the expense of other people. This game is what you make of it.

This is only true if you are a troll. If you are not, they will get more [over a long enough series.]

If you want, we can look at your other games to see things you're doing wrong that are hurting your chances of winning. The 21/9/0 support Thresh game may be enlightening. Now, I don't want to come off as rude -- or that I'm trying to tear you down. I understand that losing is frustrating. But, if you really want to climb -- you need to stop making mistakes, especially huge ones like spending mastery points on masteries that you'll never use in the game -- before the game starts.

Let's look at your games.

First, the one where support/jungle didn't know how to peel. Let's see things YOU did wrong. No trinket upgrade. Your runes have no armor on them, instead going health and MP regen for yellows. That's not a good choice. Masteries. You took Enchanted Armor, but then bought no armor or MR, and only got bonus MR from your runes. Those two points are completely wasted. You skipped Butcher and Feast, hurting your laning a lot. You took Frenzy and did not build any crit until about 20 minutes into the game. You only took one point in block and skipped unyielding, two points that would've been much better spent there instead of on Enchanted Armor. Did you take Vayne top, or were you slotted in ADC? In either position, Barrier is probably worse than Teleport or Heal. Also, if you took Vayne top... of course they didn't peel for you. You made a selfish pick [a pure damage dealer when your team already had an ADC], instead of picking something that would've given your team more versatility.

A lot of the same errors we can see in the troll game. You only placed one ward. No trinket upgrade; wonky rune assignments [it looks like this is due to not having a whole set yet.]

The Troll midlaner I'll just have to trust you, since the match history doesn't give me anyway to know they were trolling and not just playing poorly. But, as the jungler, you didn't swap to sweeper or upgrade trinket. You took Runic Blessing, probably the worst mastery in the game. On a jungler you took Block, but skipped Bladed Armor. You never bought boots.

So, there's a lot I see wrong -- in just those three games! And I'm Bronze 5. So, yeah. There isn't ELO Hell.
