How do I support in preseason?

Hello everyone,

I'm not here to complain, but I've been finding my job as support a bit harder since the preseason changes have come out. My champions are off-tank utility supports, such as Thresh, Blitzcrank, Braum and low-AP Morgana. Recently, I've found it much harder to disrupt enemy teams, as I just get burst down too quickly. This problem is especially pronounced if the enemy team is slightly ahead. I've found it more difficult to keep control of jungle vision, and my teammates are quick to blame me if they're caught out in our jungle without vision.

I would really appreciate any tips, including warding strategies, different champion picks and playstyles to help me adjust to the new metagame.

Thanks.

I only have the experience of normals (and Sion support) but I'd recommend the bond of stone mastery in the resolve tree and build mainly defensive items.

As for warding: Your teammates are responsible for warding. You can't ward everywhere and ward upgrades are free. If they want wards, tell them to place some down since yours will be on cooldown in the worst times. It's a team effort, that's why item 3711 is a thing now.

with what I read about having no mana, you can run cdr and mana regen runes. but, I say just pick a secnd adc and compete for creeps. they can tell you what lane to go , according to older red posts I have seen, but NOT what to play nor how to play it. If i were to instal this game again under the current conditions, I would not play a support, since to be honest I could only do a few certain mages that way anyways with any degree of success. Besides nami, but she becomes boring after a couple or few games in a short span of time. she was the only 'real' support champ i could use and actually win with on top of not falling asleep or considering testing leaver buster's limits. if i were stuck with jungle after some recent readings, well, I would pick teemo since never being good in the jungle i would have just about as good a chance on him as anything else I have ever tried except for the added bonus that at least he was fun to play. otherwise, just dodge and fire up dota 2 for the rest of the day. uninstal league if that becomes a pattern to save some storage.
