When will riot release more tank items? It seems all they have done recently is give a few lame reworks and just release more adc, support and mid lane items. Kinda sucks in the current meta with adc's having lethality, armor pen, and more damage based on health, and tanks having a measly randuins omen and such. Tanks still seem to get melted regardless which defeat the purpose of full tanks, and really tanky bruisers. I remember at one point, cannot remember exactly when though, but tanks could build tank and be 50% more effective then they are now come late game. Tanks now are just strong as shit early game if they get somewhat fed, but come late they become useless. Is riot ignoring this? Or does everyone still think its tank meta with 3k+ hp tanks getting melted in 5 seconds....

That's pretty much what people still think.

More tank items won't solve the problem, because the issue isn't variety, it's strength (for armor items at least). Resistances in particular are pretty weak, hence the buffs to a lot of resist tanks, like malph, leo and rammus. You can be fighting a yi as rammus, but when people just run conqueror and build rageblade it invalidates a large portion of your armor.

As for damage, everyones is pretty high because of the runes. It doesn't even matter if tanks can tank anymore, they just have to bring some CC to the table.
