its a interesting way to not only make the game a more favorable place and help people who can get ahead but team is to heavy. If riot would put this in place the game would be much more fun in my opinion since theyre would be probably a lot less flaming and people calling others feeders and report for intentional feeding if the person is just bad.

Yes i understand supports will probably will not usually get this and thats the main downside so it might change the meta so supports will be looking more for assists and raise annies popularity.

Voted no. You acknowledged "I understand supports will probably will not usually get this..." Along those lines, by what measure would you determine the "best" player on the team?

Like all of those "team is the oproblem" people,he is probably thinking best KD.

Funny thing if anything it would probably be KDA and then the support would be most likely to get it.

A poorly thought out idea that has been repeatedly brought up and knocked down on the boards for years.

Basic issues include:

  • it makes some roles and some champions less desirable then normal purely because they aren't good at farming whatever stat you measure 'best' by
  • people will give up earlier and start trying to get the 'best' stat instead of winning
  • people who are already 'doing well' will avoid any risky but necessary to win fights to protect their 'score'
  • rather then stopping people from raging, people will likely try and troll the current 'high scorer' to try and ruin it for them in particular

I think you mean LP? Anyway, there's a lot of factors that go into this that would likely make it too hard to calculate. Who is the "best"? The tank initiator who is first into every battle, cc's the entire enemy team, and dies but makes sure your team gets at least 2-3 kills? The adc who stands in the back shooting who gets a triple kill off of that battle? What about the support who is peeling and keeps that adc alive? Or the splitpushing top laner who kills two towers and gets the inhibitor while the battle is taking place?

Everyone in this scenario played their role exactly how they're supposed to. You effectively want to punish this, and encourage stuff like... oh I dunno maybe Lux or Ezreal or something using their ult to KS an already secured kill from halfway across the map. As soon as the game starts turning for the worse, people will stop trying to win, and start trying to be the "best" on their team by any way possible.
