say you have to leave in 30min to a hour and still want to play a game, why not create a game more where at 20 minutes the game ends at the team/ player with the most points wins.

There are things already in-game that are meant for shorter time periods.

3v3s - Average time is 20-30 minutes Dom - Average time is 15-25 minutes Aram - Average time is 20-30 minutes

then why do aram games sometimes last for 45 minutes 3v3 you neeed to wait for 10 minutes to play and dominion you have to wait for 30 minutes to play

I have never once had to wait 10 minutes for a 3s nor 30 for a dom. So GL with that.

dude logg on now on na and wait for 6 to 10 minutes to get a game so you have to add that.

The miscommunication is caused by you ignoring the original purpose of the thread. FirstTimer's point is: if you want to talk about averages, they better not be calculated from wide distributions. An average time of 20 minutes is meaningless if you only have 20 minutes tops. The OP NEEDS a guaranteed constant time of 20 minutes or less.

Barring that, yes, his queue time claims are weird. Usually it's like a minute or two for both 3s and Dom. But I have on occasion seen HUGE queue times for Dominion at offball hours. Maybe he just queues at those times.

Yea again, all they can do is estimate the average time, so again we already HAVE modes that are meant for shorter amounts of time.

Unless they create a mode where the game ends at precisely 20 minutes and scores are tallied. Is the fact that this thread is for a new game mode just not coming across? Yes, all they can do for current game modes is estimate. NO ONE'S TALKING ABOUT CURRENT GAME MODES, because they don't address the problem.

Because you don't queue for Dom often enough. Queue more and reduce the wait.

Play vainglory. It's shorter than league and also a MOBA. People are going to start hate me because of "don't compare a shitty mobile game to League of Legends" but I play both games and both have its pros and cons.

No, they'll just hate people who think TT isn't sufficient if you don't want to risk a 40 minute game PERIOD... even though TT CAN potentially lasts 40 minutes.

I've seen people quit in a drawn out game because they didn't have enough time and were hoping the game would be average-lengthed... face it people, that IS a problem.

If you don't have much time, play bots and play something that can push hard and carry. I don't think there's enough demand for Riot to create this though, when they could put that work into something with more demand.

The map you want is Dominion.

Near as I can tell, Riot has fiddled with Dominion's MMR calculator to improve queue times. Unless you're looking for a game at some weird off hour it shouldn't take more than five minutes.
