They are not nerfing it. They will be buffing all the other keystones instead. Just wait for the patch to come out.

There used to be choice, all the keystones were good. Next minute; they nerfed the crit one, they nerfed the stacking one, they nerfed the damage sharing one... Honestly what did they expect. Might as well not have introduced the new masteries if they were gonna gut 70% of them leaving only one viable option.

Having said that though, I think thunderlord should not be nerfed, instead all the other masteries should be brought back up to scratch (where they were originally).

But that is the problem, crit was nerfed because 2 champs broke the game with them, fervor because of jax in every game and it is just a mini rageblade then they buy another anyways. And idk why they nerfed the sharing one... 8% ain't alot.... But anyone can use thunderlords.... Which is really dumb... Ad champs shouldn't have the ability to proc it with Aa if theu thrive on Aa to begin with.

By buffing the other keystones, i hope that there is some type of counterplay to thunderlord's as it is still a great synergistic keystone with some champions.

True, but the real problem with Thunderlord's is the fact that it's super great now. Just look at the damage it does. What can they possibly do to buff other keystones to make me prefer another keystone over Thunderlord's if it gets me and my team kills? I just don't see how buffing another keystone can replace the fact that there are teams with 3+ Thunderlord's and it's winning them games.

last patch Fervor of Battle was the go-to mastery even for AD casters. things change fast with tiny nerfs or buffs.

They are giving some power back to the other, underused keystones (Bloodlust, Fervor, DFT, Stormrider's, Strength of Ages, Bond of Stone), while nerfing the reason Cunning is so uber-strong currently (Precision).

Reinboom with an explanation on the Precision situation:

With how masteries are grouped, the "stepping stone" masteries that lead into the keystones are effectively sharing the power budget with those keystones. Precision is taking up quite a bit of that power budget for Cunning.

So if we say that a stepping stone mastery + its attached keystone has a power budget of 100 (arbitrary scale), and that the stepping stone is using up 80, then of course the keystone is going to feel meh without seriously inflating the power of the whole system.

In that regards, if Cunning does end up weak as a tree, the result of the Precision nerf is more likely to see the keystones buffed (even potentially Thunderlord's).
