Current Banning System is...a little annoying

I just got back into League from a half a year break so I'm having to re learn some things but the one thing I HATE is the new banning system. I like that the number of champs to get banned got bumped up but there are two things I hate about it more than anything else.

1.) It's too insanely fast! Like what the heck? Before we'd get a couple minutes at least to ban 6 champs and that was FINE! The extra time I used mostly to chat with the four other people that I was gonna have to get along with for at least 20 mins. It was nice being able to have some pre-game chat so you could get to know the other players strategies and discuss the team synergy. I mean I don't know if that was something that happened a lot with others but I almost always got talking about forming up some plans to start early game. Now I barely have enough time to get to know at least two of them before I pick the champ I want that'd best support the team.

2.) This one is connected to the first but it's so fast now because everyone get's one ban but we all get it at the same time including the enemy team. Why is this a thing? The amount of double banning I see is a little ridiculous and that one time you don't ban your mortal enemy champ thinking enemy team will do it for you no one ends up banning him/her and that's the MVP of the enemy team. Are people really so impatient to play a game and get to the next one that you have to end up with wasted bans? I've noticed in the eSports splits they do normal bans for the first six, 'bout half the team picks, then goes into the last two bans. Why can't we have that? That'd really be nice so we can at least mess with the enemy team's synergy after seeing their first three or two picks. It's just an extra few minutes at worst people. You've already committed at least 20 mins and at most over an hour what's another 5?

Anyway that's just what's been on my mind and I just wanted to see what others think, thought, or discussing concerning this clunky ban system. I can't be the only one who hates this right? It's League of Legends we're talking about after all. lol

quite the opposite of clunky. It's a bit faster than before, and if everyone got 30 individual seconds to ban you would be sitting there much longer than you used to cause about 75% of players seem to want to drain the time before actually hitting the ban button. Another thing, if you double ban then you double ban. No big deal, if you're playing soloQ then it's not like you had much more knowledge on what your opponents were playing before anyway, right? They also said that they don't use the pro ban system because that puts way too much unnecessary pressure on the last picks and bans where that really isn't fair to them.
