I don't like the constant exceptions

I understand you are trying to get inventive with the champions but when something isn't working please don't just make an exception. You have a great game here because of all the constants that help ensure and even playing field. What I am referencing here is that kalista does 90% damage. Skarner creates alters without casting anything. molder can make ghosts without using his ult. Yasuo's crits don't crit as hard. I honestly didn't even like the turret change to top lane turret specifically. I don't really like how problems are being addressed lately. Don't make exceptions, make balance. just my thoughts, feel free to down vote. Thanks

I feel you're lumping together a lot of different effects in the same basket. Ideally, every champion should be unique in their own way, and the purpose of every passive and active is to provide a distinct bonus that stands out in its own way from other abilities. In that sense, stuff like Skarner creating Dominion within Summoner's Rift or Bard getting more powerful by collecting magic bells on the map are effects that make a very positive contribution overall, adding unique gameplay and developing upon existing systems to create new forms of power expression.

What I agree with, however, is that exceptions aren't too good when they're maluses, i.e. effects that are explicitly make a champion weaker. Yasuo's reduced crit chance and Kalista's 90% AD autoattacks are the two biggest examples of this, and not only do they create exceptions to a system in a way that is purely negative, but they also don't really contribute to gameplay other than just flat-out reducing power. Those are the kind of effects I'd scrap in favor of more "baked-in" weaknesses, i.e. weaknesses that arise naturally from a champion and their kit (something that seems hard to achieve on both Yasuo and Kalista, whose kits are pretty loaded).

...top lane turret change? I must have missed that one. Context?

Otherwise, yes I do agree. It's annoying to have to explain to a friend how Kalista's autos now scale off of PART of her AD. On top of the fact that her autos can be canceled by losing vision, can't be animation canceled... She specifically is so complex I don't even feel like I can play her, let alone tell someone else how she works.

I believe the "top lane turret change" was the one about inhib turrets no longer slowing or reducing damage or whatever they did. I don't really know, I play trynd and the turret is dead before I really try to get away 90% of the time
