What specifically can I do in this situation?

In this game my laners had a rough time because Rek'sai was getting a lot of ganks on the Kled when he was trying to deny stacks from Nasus. However while this was happening I never made it in time to save him. We also had a Kog'maw which is just a bad champion right now and a very weak laning phase. Because of this got lane also got steam rolled. Xerath just genuinely got outplayed 1v1 by Ahri because of her well timed dashes.

I am curious on what I can do as hecarim in a situation similar to this in the future to prevent my team from getting steamrolled so hard.

Probably not much. Even challenger smurfs can lose games in Gold. I would bet that your teammates were likely autofilled in multiple positions and/or first timing champs. You can't win every game, but you can minimize losses by dodging when you see bad team comps or when you have multiple auto fills on your team.

It looks like you played well that game and you should be proud. Pat yourself on the back and just do it again next game. The key to climbing is consistency. Focus on the games where you perform poorly and look at what you could have done better, not the games where you played well and you simply lost b/c the odds were stacked against you. That's how you improve and climb.

You have Kog/Taric, a way harder scaling bot lane than the enemy's. You should have put more effort into making sure they didn't get shut down by the Kai'Sa/Lux.

My choice in this situation would be to gank bot lane hard, and the first time you get a wipe down there, push hard to take the tower. Kog /Taric can switch with Kled then to put some pressure on Nasus and you have space to help Xerath.

No guarantees that this would all work out, but if things aren't working out already, change the situation.

To be honest, nothing, play another game or just don't play ranked games since the matchmaking it's trash the most of the time and isn't rewarding for full soloq play.

There are just people who don't even know what to do with their champions :S
