That feeling when you get shit on by a master tier player when you're gold.

This was a normal game but this match making seems pretty odd.

Silver 2 up to a Master tier player in a single game.

riot's matchmaking strikes again

Why wouldn't ranked mmr factor into unranked? It's the same map and everything. It makes no sense. Poor game design.

because normals are for FUN ????????????????

meaning either he has low norms MMR or u have high norms MMR putting ranked MMR as a factor for norms MMR would not make it fun and make the mode pointless as you go against the same players as ranked when you are just trying to have fun.

every time i try a new champion in normals I fight a 200k mastery points riven i shit you not, its like normals are meant to make you hate life

VeryFunGame8/10/2019, 11:22:47 PM2 votes

Normals have a separate MMR from ranked. If they rarely normal you may be matched.

I get that every mode has its own MMR... but I feel like at least all ranked SR MMRs should maybe factor into each other a bit, if not regular SR.

Normal matchmaking is wild.

I always face diamond players in normal matches and have since I started playing the game years ago. They're usually low diamond, so not that hard to deal with, but I don't think I've ever seen anyone in masters before. That would be a stomp.

Well, atleast u got smurfing shaco on ur team.

Did you feel 'good' about it before or after you found out they had someone in Master on their team?

Honestly, if you didn't know about it before hand you wouldn't have minded at all. If you had looked it up later you may have felt a bit humbled that your skills placed you against someone in a higher ranking.

It wouldn't have mattered at all if you didn't look into Pandora's box that is LoL's matchmaking system.

Sometimes ignorance is a bliss.

Whether you think matchmaking is right or wrong completely depends on how you perceive it.

.....

You admit it was a normal. Where is the issue? Being a master in ranked means nothing in normals.

But it also feels heavenly good when you beat that Master tier player

touchmyraf8/12/2019, 10:40:13 PM1 votes

LOL I played against a diamond the other day (I'm Gold 2). It gets pretty bad in ranked flex too.

Schlagobert8/10/2019, 10:57:42 PM1 votes

I was playing some tt normals today. I'm unranked and had a challenger in the enemy team.

AlterMordred8/11/2019, 3:02:04 AM1 votes

I mean, I understand the rank difference, but how did you lose to Malphite as Fiora. Your champion is made to counter him

On My Kill List8/11/2019, 5:12:19 AM1 votes

something to add is fiora has mana issues if she attempts to do multiple trades. and most fiora builds aren't built with mana sustain of any kind usually. the most fiora gets is usually a sheen or trinity force for mana sustain. compared to malphite who has better mana sustain then fiora since he has access to multiple high mana sustain items in his builds. and fioras sustain isn't actually that good early on either. compared to more traditional tops like olaf who'd ignore malphites poke.

Normal mmrs are a thing. On a smurf, lvl 27. Got paired in a game with a team all ranked diamonds, and even a master.
