My fix for Essence Reaver, Brutalizer, Executioner's Calling
Essence Reaver:
Cost: 800 (Long Sword (360) + 440)
+10 attack damage
Unique - Mana Steal: Whenever your Life Steal restores health, it also restores half as much mana.
Possible build paths:
Replaces pickaxe in
, which loses its base mana regen stat, but gains Mana Steal (restores mana = to 50% lifesteal).
Executioner's Calling: Cost: 2700 (Brutalizer (1337) + Essence Reaver (800) + 563) +50 attack damage +10% cooldown reduction Unique: +20 armour penetration Unique: Basic attacks against enemies below 40% health inflict Grievous Wounds for 2s on hit. Unique - Mana Steal: Whenever your Life Steal restores Health, it also restores that much mana.
Essence Reaver gives auto-attackers access to mana regen early in lane. However, it gives no regen on it's own, requiring the user to get lifesteal from other sources. With the right itemization, this has the potential to be a powerful source of regen that scales throughout the game.
For Executioner's calling, I wanted to kill 2 birds with one stone: add more Brutalizer itemization in a way that is less efficient for Zed, and bring back Grievous wounds to auto attackers.
