All of Riots changes would work if the Players would let them work...

Unfortunately, the longer queue times are part of a bigger problem (ergo, the amount of people leaving this game and not playing at the time) and cannot really be Riot's fault.

However, having two queues, one for solo and one for premade would go a long way to solving a lot of the current imbalance problems. I have noticed that Riot ARE TRYING to fix certain champions (nerfs to Ekko and upcoming Fizz) but this is the PLAYER'S FAULT as much as Riot.

Think about it, if everyone played the game properly and used the champions in the way that Riot INTENDED for them to be used, I am pretty sure Riot NEVER meant for high damage assassins to be able to build tank items effectively, then we would not have this problem. Riot cannot factor in EVERY CONTINGENCY in which a champion will be used. They cannot factor in how some random people will find ways to abuse slight oversights on certain champions for a free win and how that becomes meta.

In short, Riot can only make "REACTIONARY" changes, changes to champion exploits as they happen because they DON'T KNOW how some champions will be abused in this manner. If everyone played the game as Riot INTENDED then this wouldn't happen and nobody would have ANYTHING to complain about. Riot balance champions based on their PRIMARY FUNCTION and ROLE. You cannot expect them to anticipate how one or two abilities on that champ are abusable or using different items then the ones intended.

The only real solution to this is that Riot simply "LOCKS" items to specific champions, forcing them to stick with that collection of items. For example, Mages would not be able to build any AD items, Assassins would not have access to tank items etc...

But lets be real here, NOBODY wants that. So the community has to take responsibility for the current state of League this season. Its not all Riot's fault, part of it is yours for playing the game wrong.

I like the variety in Builds. In fact, I don't think there is ENOUGH variety in Build.

It's why I loved Old Shen. Pure Tank, check. Bruiser, check. Fighters, check. Split Push, check. Hand Grenade, well, if you REALLY want to. Support, check. Jungle, check. Your team refuses to go Mid because of Akali, Katarina, LeBlanc or Zed... Mid, check.

And depending on the Comp you were in, and the Comp you were facing, literally any of these (even Hand Grenade) was a viable build. He could do almost any Role short of Mage and Marksman, and he could go to any lane. It just depended on the Match Up.

It was glorious.

There should be more Champions like that... and it's sad that Shen isn't even like that anymore.

It should be up to Players and their Creativity to Theory Craft and find unique ways of doing things.

But you can't have that freedom AND have a balanced game!

giving every tank item CDR while knowing damn well CDR is a huge dps amplifier, is NOT reactionary at all, it's an unneeded change just to keep the game fresh and create diversity.

there's no reason whatsoever to have 20% cdr on item 3025 , cdr on item 3065 or cdr on item 3001 .

that's like asking for assassins to be built tank.

True and I totally agree with you but some tanks NEED CDR in order to do their jobs effectively. The cooldown on some tank abilities are HUGE compared to the cooldowns on an assassin like Leblanc (Though I dunno why her ult recharges so quickly, its an ULTIMATE, its supposed to be a high cooldown, ultimate ability) which is why some tanks NEED it.

Unfortunately, the only way to solve this problem is to block assassins from building certain items. Unless you can think of another way to make tank items less appealing to assassins without removing the CDR that tanks need.

well, they are finally classifying champions into certain categories... so maybe in the future, who knows.

class specific items are IMO still the best way to balance this game, but riot doesn't want to enforce "meta" so yeah...

(...the amount of people leaving this game and not playing at the time) and cannot really be Riot's fault.

alot of people aren't playing because... we don't want riot to improve this shit.

WE DON'T WANT DYNAMIC QUEUE.
