so start trailblaze devourer, next item should be an ap item like nashor's/hextech. Get either attack speed boots or sorcerors boots. next item run rabadons. then lich bane, and last item should be nashor's/hextech. It works decently and is an alternative to. Ad jax which also has devourer. and either trinity or ruined king as second item (I prefer trinity seeing as it's pretty decent). Then I would probably run either mr on boots or attack speed. next get ruined king. then get like essence reaver (I like it because of mana regen and lifesteal). Last two items should be based on your preference like maybe your team is behind on turrets or u want inhib so u would get zephyrs or something. I usually go lifesteal attack speed jax tho.

I like Randuin's (or maybe deadman's) for the extra bulk on ap jax. I hate being super squishy, and the armour and hp really helps. He already gets enough MR when he ults so that isn't a problem.

some hp ap items are good too. since effective health works with ult armor mr boost

If you go with AP Jax - you should 100% get item 3116

Tankyness is great, AP is high, and best of all - Grandmaster's Might applies spell-hit effects like spell vamp and Rylie's. 40% perpetual slow on your AA's, pretty hard to pass up.

Also - I'd stay away from multiple hybrid damage items. Not just because you're calling this an AP build, but because you kill your end-game scaling by heavily investing in them. Even on someone like Jax that forces AP and AS to scale one-another's power, most "attack" stats just don't interact with "magic" stats, where most attack stats scale one-another exponentially (item 3031 item 3046 item 3035 offers bonkers damages) and most magic stats scale one-another exponentially (item 3089 item 3100 item 3135 ).

1 hybrid damage item is usually fine, as most are extremely cost-effective early to offset being the inverse late (item 3078 ), but you don't want to run something like Nashor's and Devourer and Gunblade in the same build. You're shooting yourself in the foot for end-game scaling by getting multiple hybrid damage sources.

I appreciate the help and I may try and fix my build up some more, but I've only played the game like 2-3 months so i'm still new to it. I will try some of the things ya'll said and try and fix up my build. Ty
