The true reason autofill is not good for the game... It sucks for adc mains.

You main adc... and every other support is autofill. So not only most of these players don't play support often to know match-ups etc.. they also don't bother to take the role seriously... So you are stuck bot lane with a guy who is not used to this type of lane and is not taking the lane seriously. This happens almost half of the games I am in and it can get really frustrating.

Typical Autofill supports in lower elos mindsets:

  • Oh this is just unlucky lets try an odd champion support for fun. (ex. sejuani thunderlords full ap.. {ends up 0/7 in 10 mins])
  • I will just pretend I am a mid laner and build all AP items.. forget sighstone.. I am not supporting...
  • "Aww man I got autofilled support, Oh well here is my chance to first time a champion, if I lose I lose, I win I win..."
  • The adcs suck in my elo, so why bother supporting seriously, even most reddit posts say if you want to carry games in low elo don't support

This is so crappy for an adc main... Many lane phases are just decided if you got an autofill and the enemy didn't or you both got autofills and one person decided to take the role seriously and one didn't.. This has to be changed..........

This might surprise you to know, but even most support mains are trashy. I wouldn't worry too much about the automatically filled supports and instead do what you can to make their dumb strategies work. As long as they are buying a gold income item and trying to make things happen, you should be okay, usually. I mean the chances your enemy has a good support are really bad, so don't worry so much.

And without auto fill we'd be looking at 5-10 minutes que times.

People say they're okay with that but no they would not be. I will gladly, GLADY support 1 out of every 10-15 games to make sure our que times stay the way they are.

Not wrong. Not wrong at all. I still get the occasional mf support. Feels so bad.
