GOLD 4 play with 1 division lower aka silver 1 SILVER 1 play with silver 2 and gold 4 if no silver 2 in game matchmaking SILVER 4s do not play with silver 2 or 1 Bronze do not play with silver 4

simple as that to many noobs in silver 4 3 being lobbed in to gold games it low rank who cares say riot well we do big gap in skill i feel silver 2 and 1 should be a complete new division from silver 3 4

Matchmaking doesn't take rank into account.

It is based solely on your MMR. And that's how it should be, rank means nothing
