Level 30 summoners only playing AI? Wtf?

I have a couple friends trying out LoL, and they all seem to be running into the same problem - level 30 summoners wiping the floor in beginner/intro bot games. Now to avoid hypocrisy, I will admit to playing a bot game every now and than to try out a new champ or get a dignity boost when I'm on a losing streak, but what's up with level 30 players having LITERALLY thousands of games in AI, barely any in normal, and not even trying ranked? I quite honestly don't see how that's fair for new players and I can't imagine it's enjoyable in really any aspect for a new player. I wish that Riot would ban lvl 30 players from cleaning house in AI games to give new players a viable chance and derive some sort of enjoyment from learning mechanics, play style, etc.

Rant over.

Some people probably just enjoy playing AI and don't want to play against others or deal with toxicity. AI games are a lot more relaxed. It might not be as much of a problem if there was a hard AI mode because even intermediate is easy for most decent players.

Not gonna lie, I struggle against the intermediate bots. The newbies just feed them and then I just can't do anything until I scale.

Some people don't always have time/nerve for pvp?

I know I don't usually have the guts to go up against real people, i'm not that much of a pvp person to begin with, mostly because of the lackluster tutorials giving me so little to go on in terms of general strategy, like when to go for dragon, or when to roam as mid, etc.

I wouldn't mind harder bots though, especially not if they could put in a jungle position, would make it a lot more interesting to jungle in co-op vs ai.

Would make it a lot more interesting to top as well, if solo top was a viable option.

And yeah, there's quite a few times when I don't feel like I have the time for a normal match, whereas a bot match rarely takes more than 30 min (and often not more than 25.

Other times I just don't feel concentrated enough that I know I'll be able to do my best in a real game, whereas co-op we'll usually win (or at least do well enough) anyway.

To be honest though, I should start playing more pvp dominion/ARAM. especially dominion.

I do when I'm trying out new champions or helping some friends who are getting into the game. I don't go totally ham like I've got anything to prove, though.

who are you to judge what people play? maybe they enjoy not having to deal with toxic people, maybe they enjoy beating up on bots, its a game, you are supposed to have fun. Who are you to judge how they have fun, and how they play?

Some people just don't wanna deal with the stress that PvP can bring. Though ironically I have seen footage of people raging in bots, I'd suspect they were leveling smurfs though.

People get clubbed by gold-challenger level players at 1-30 end up hiding in bots til 30 then become afraid to leave anyways.

The bot games I played are pretty toxic, people almost perfect the art of last hitting enemy champions etc. It'd be nicer to see no jungle and locked lanes.

PvP means you have to deal with a lot more crap than what there is in co-op vs AI. Co-op is also a great place to try out new things or to get your first win of the day bonus. Whereas if you play PvP, you might lose and then you didn't get your bonus.
