I'm not seeing what you guys see...

Short history:

• Main account got stuck in bronze for 2 years (ADC/Supp mains, with proficiency in all roles as needed, but not always pretty).

• Told multiple times that I don't play like a bronze, but could never climb out - even with a duo (got myself to B3 without a duo, couldn't get further)

• Got coaching, tutorials, more coaching, paid for coaching.

• Got frustrated, started a new account to try starting over, knowing I was missing some fundamentals somewhere, and realizing that not having masteries/runes would help with CS issues, and being able to pretend I'm a brand new player would allow me to mentally ward off trolling as I relearned how to play league.

• Played on new account for months, worked past the layer of scripting bots and finally got placed with real players consistently

• Took up Heroes of the Storm in the meantime - learned Nova, then Jaina

• Life took over, decided on an internet fast, gave up all gaming/social media for 40 days

Then:

• Returned to League about a month ago (still on new account, never going back to old one, don't care how much money went into it)
• Turned ALL CHAT OFF
• Won 13 games of League in a row
• Not seeing any balance issues to complain about
• Found the brand new Dynamic Cue (normals) to be incredibly fun and enlightening the few times I've gotten into it (super long wait times at this level)
• Really enjoying being paired with/against mostly premades - mental challenges with avoiding ganks, keeping me honest on warding even as ADC, learning ganking strats that could work even as a solo que player
• At this level, for every "OP" champ I've come up against, I've had to personally lane against at some point in any lane. Been able to beat all of them with meta/off meta champs (I'm only able to play blind pick right now, so here's accidentally picking Cait top/mid and then face-wrecking even while being camped)
• Can now completely and competently solo-lane bot as ADC when needed (sending Supp to roam, or when Supp is just being a butt and doing their own thing - happens a lot in these levels) - even with pre-mades present.
• Have never hit TILT since my return (having all chat off makes the chat extremely quiet, mute people who even mildly annoy me).
• Within the past week, when solo-queing in blind, I've been getting placed with golds. Winrate down to 40% - not great, but I'm happy with it considering I can't stand blind pick and I alternate doing things I know with things I don't (so lots of learning losses).

TL;DR: I have no clue what most people's problems with Riot are on this board. I've been reading it for three days now and scratching my head. I'm familiar with ranked play, 2 years familiar - and if it's anything like blinds/dynamic que (the few times I've gotten into draft) is right now, then I'd be completely content with it. Premades are fun and educational, even on the losing end. There are enough chat preferences to avoid tilt due to toxicity. I can work with/against both meta and non-meta picks (or learn to, I'll take a loss for that).

Maybe the whole community needs to start a new account, get it to level 18 with no personal customization (leave all chat off, etc), then remove themselves from the game for at least a month. Perspective is a beautiful thing that can be changed.
