It isnt coming back due to the name implying something it no longer does. Expunge means remove poison, but it doesnt do that anymore.

contaminate implying poisoning someone yet you cannot use it unless they are already poisoned so both names don't really fit.

They could change it so that it removes stacks and does their remaining damage, then re-rename it to Expunge. It'd be a slight buff because instant damage is better than a tiny dot that can be countered by pots, but I think its worth it for thematic reasons.

Doing their remaining damage would be a HUGE buff, thats 72 instant true damage at level one
