Comp theory: What if there were 2 junglers?

Danjeng··3 votes·1,258 views

One top one bot.

The enemy jungle would be prone to invasion. Objectives will be uncontested. ADC will be ahead in levels, and junglers can gank when in need.

I would like to try it out, but any alternative strategy could be seen as trolling and may be bannable.

I think it's do-able. Camp spawn times were made longer, so I could farm there, then head over bot quickly. Tracker's knife has wards, can replace sightstone. Or I could build support, and a jungle item. If the enemy jungler is bot, top-jungler invades. If enemy jungler is top, support-jungler invades.

I would REALLY like if I had a team to play with which is open to different strategies.

There are so many reasons why this would not work. If you want to play a roaming support, bard, alistar, ect exist.

I feel stupid :( when you say there are so many reasons it won't work. I thought it would work, and I listed my reasons. What are the reasons against?

One of your advantages is probably inaccurate. The ADC would be unlikely to get that much extra experience due to being zoned out 1v2 and would certainly get less gold for that same reason.

Jungle experience and gold has been tuned over time to be farmed by one person, so you would have to successfully counter jungle to keep from having one somewhat richer "support" and one somewhat poorer "jungler".

Hello Summoner!

There are a few problems that occur with double jungle.

  • Requires your marksman to 2v1 which is a huge disadvantage for such item reliant champions
  • Both junglers will be starved of exp and gold due to the lack of jungle camps and this may result in multiple members with lower exp/gold
  • The enemy marksman and support can easily take an early tower resulting in huge map pressure, first turret gold, dragon, and other advantages
  • Jungler can easily dive 2v1 lane
  • Exhaust is an important summoner spell to peel and reduce damage for your team and having multiple smites can prove to be useless with uncoordinated teams.

Its important to note roaming supports are viable such as with Bard and Alistar but these champions do teamfight and support there adc unlike the now infamous jungle singed.

There just isnt enough camps, each side wouldn't sacrifice one camp for another, and now the camps are different in XP and Gold thanks to Krugs, one sid ewill definitely have a better advantage than the other.

AND THEN

It means they would have to cross the river when there no left. Which means the enemy junglers will have to the same. forcing early river engagements etc

forcing lanes to help out, losing cs.

Pretty selfish request in my opinion, very off-meta. I've seen Ivern top and squeze a sungle camp now and then, but removing another champion to jungle would mean bot has only an ADC and no support.

Definitely an Unpopular opinion.

Double jungle types: Side share; The jungle is divided in such a way that its possible for someone to counter jungle and get both buffs; one buff from theirs, and one buff from the enemy. Side sharing takes advantage of deep wards to constantly take turns jungling one side and counter jungling the other. This method puts a lot of easy pressure on the far lanes.

Dedicated counter jungle: the second jungler is an early duelist with a lot of self peel or getaway potential. their job is to harass the enemy jungler and make them useless.

Roaming: This kind of double jungle is similar to side share, with the major difference being in that the roamer is a champion who has a lot of early gank potential (level 2 or 3). Roamers take small monsters, and always leave the large ones. this kind of double jungle puts a TON of pressure on two lanes.

You know whats also pretty selfish? Expecting other players to bend to your whim.

ADC doesn't have to go bot.

Considering most jg's are building support items anyways (sighstone smite, aegis) can't we just eliminate that role entirely and have each team with two supports? Then people can blame more than 1 person when they don't go 30-0 and have their cs stolen in lane...

They could technically do it, the role of "support" would no longer be existent though. It would be replaced with asn while Supp champs would either go mid or top and recreate a new role. Back when Dota was still a WarCraft 3 game, 2 jg did exist, it functioned somewhat but the game mechanics were far more different than this game. You had 1 jg that was considered "mid" jg which consisted of 6 jg camps near mid lane. This jg could technically be considered it's own lane because the jg creeps were highly contested and PVP was far higher in this role than any other role against the other Mid jg. It was by far the most difficult lane to play in while ganking. I can see why it would no longer exist especially in this game. Whoever would show more dominance would snowball like crazy while the other would be unable to assist the team in any way and fall far behind. In WC3 Dota, you could catch up, and snowballing like crazy didn't cost you the game. In this game, it would just be broken. In the other JG, the JG would pretty much would just Jg until he got his ultimate and then would focus on sieging. He would pretty much just siege all game. He would go JG until his ult came back up off CD and then returned to siege. That was his only job. It created very repetitive game play. Could Riot introduce this? They could, but I don't see any reason for it. The game as is is hard enough to balance.

Ivern could work it.
