If you dont want me to first time champion in ranked
Bring back normal draft.
Bring back normal draft.
dude that is what flex is for?
Yeah, Flex Queue isn't ranked over on that server, so you don't need to worry about it that way.
Flex isn't ranked on any server :^)
I hate this mentality. I absolutely hate it.
that is the reality tho.
Great! Become toxic asshole to solve issues.
No. This issue was CAUSED by Riot, and it's CONSEQUENCE is toxic assholes.
So because someone wronged you, in the end its better to cause an uproar and make life hell for hundreds of others who are not at fault?
Makes perfect fuckin' sense to me.
No. This issue was CAUSED by Riot, and it's CONSEQUENCE is toxic assholes.
You blame Riot for being toxic asshole? Riot control you?
What are you talking about? It's still there
He is EUNE. they have only blind pick. :)
There was another (or two?) servers who lost draft, right?
Kinda the reverse. Only NA, EUW, and BR (I think?) kept Normal Draft, the other 8 or so servers lost it.
O shit that's a lot :(

BR also kept normal draft (BR player there). That said, I disagree completely with Riot removing normal draft from other servers.

...How random. Why?
Because there ae not enough players to keep both Blind and Draft up.
Inbf we still have Solo and Flex too, which is for most treated like Normal Dratf tbh...
Wait, they actually went through with that? That's so dumb
Lol I don't get why Blind exists over Draft.
Levels 1-20 should be Blind Que, after that should be Draft. I mean if you're ever going to play Ranked you would have to get used to draft anyway, why keep Blind when the game revolves around draft.
Apparently the vast majority of players play Blind pick. I know I used to play nothing but Blind for the longest, didn't start with Draft until a year or two ago, so I'm inclined to believe Riot on this one. Some people simply don't like all the extra steps that comes with Draft and you don't need to own 16 champions to play it (soon 20 champions). You get fast queues and can get into a game really fast as well because of no bans, and that's also important to some people. It's basically a Quickplay mode.
I personally much prefer Draft nowadays, but I can definitely see why people prefer Blind pick.
You can also have mirror matches in blind, and while they are uncommon some people strongly enjoy them
i actually extremely dislike mirror matchups. takes the whole fun out of laning phase.
I enjoy them to some extent because it sorta turns into a 1v1 duel to see who is really better, since you're on pretty much equal footing.
Personally I am ambivalent about mirror matchups. On one hand, if I am in the mood to test my skills against an opponent to see which is the better player at [x] champion, mirror matches are great. On the other, if I just want to screw around and have a more of a "fun" game or "silly" game (such as building something off-meta ish, but still viable) then generally I dislike mirror matchups.
Then again, I had a mirror matchup while playing Nasus, and we just had a stack off while our teammates went and fought 4v4. Was a fun game.
I spose that makes sense. When I started in Season my friends just told me to play Draft as soon as I could so I did. I also like the draft process, being able to pick into a champ or picking a champ thats either just good or safe agasin't counters is fun to me. Or seeing who the other team as already also goes into my thought process to who I pick.
Yeah, I'll never understand why they removed Normal Draft from several servers.
Just unlock 10 cheap champions for all players (i.e. 450IP) and remove them from the free champion rotation. Everyone will be able to use Normal Draft since they will have 20 champions available, so they can just remove Blind Pick.
they want to force players to play flex queue so they don't look as stupid for defending dynamic queue for a whole year, that is why they removed normal draft.
Just transfer your account to EUW.
And then not be able to play the game since you have 200 ping
The physical location of the EUW and EUNE servers are very close to each other. the EUNE server is located in Frankfurt, Germany. While the EUW server is in Amsterdam, Netherlands. Any ping change you get while swapping between the two is unnoticable and therefore insignificant.
Sort of begs the question why they don't link the servers.
Too much players. EU used to be one giant region.
Pffft! Lern 2 ward.
Savage.
What I see when I read this post

just play flex
so what exactly is the issue with playing a new champ in blind pick??
4 other people will be yelling MID!!! I CALLED IT. MID OR FEED. So if you're not the fastest typer or cpoy paster you get hozed. Basically, the chances of actually being able to play what you want are reduced.
Tried 4 games to play jungle.
Impossible.
Riot Games really doesn't care if you first time a champion in ranked, in fact, they'd rather encourage it because it increases your likelihood to buy skins. Your teammates however do and they have no effect on if Normal Draft is brought back or not.
So there's that.
how on earth does it increase the likelihood to buy skins? If anything it decreases the chance because you'll get smashed that game and not want to play the champion anymore, let alone buy a skin.
You're not thinking it completely through.
The kinds of people who buy skins are often teenagers with an Ego problem. They want to stick out and scream, "HEY I'M DIFFERENT," and thus would spend money on a cosmetic in a free to play video game. When you pick up a new champion endorphins are released in the brain, this is a NEW experience in a game you have a BLAST on, now imagine if I actually didn't have Dorito hands on Udyr!?!? It'd make it even FUNNER!
Rinse and repeat... you're assuming people buy skins only if they are one tricks or completely dedicated to that champion which isn't the case. Often times people will only buy ONE skin per champion, and the only people who buy more than one are often One Tricks who are extremely dedicated to the champion. Otherwise the more Champions you play the more likely you are to buy skins, it's a direct correlation.
More importantly, 9 times out of 10 people one trick a champion for awhile and then drop them when they find a NEW champion to one trick in a couple months. If you are encouraged to play new champions constantly you increase the likelihood of wanting to buy more skins on the new champion you decided to one trick.
That's not even mentioning the possibility of spending money on a champion, which is also more common than you'd think.
flex que IS normal draft
LUL Riot obviously doesn't care
Do people actually care if it's your first time playing a champ in flex queue though?
Also never understood the first time thing outside of obviously doing it on the first couple of days after a champ comes out. Like if you don't go out of your way to tell everyone there's no way they're going to know
