Really after win streak suddenly instead of getting better allies we get shit teammates sometimes entire tier below.

Try to carry this as support.

it will make you cry.

That's not how it works. That's simply not true.

Don't you get it? It's a conspiracy. If you win one game you have to win all of your games, otherwise Riot is CLEARLY working against you.

Well, try me. Explain the business model, and how it makes sense from an economic point of view to skew and cheat with matchmaking. Not as you would to a monkey, just as you would explain it to a fellow human being with a decent understanding of economics.

What you are describing is not an issue with LoL matchmaking, but a phenomenon known as "The Gambler's Probability". In essence, it states that if there are two (relatively) equally likely occurrences [i.e. good teammates vs bad teammates] the more you get one, the less likely you are to get it again. Happily, this means that you shouldn't get horrible teammates for a very long streak, but it simultaneously means that on occasion you will have to deal with bad teammates following win streaks. It's not LoL matchmaking, it's mathematics.

Thats a gambler fallacy.

When events are independent previous outcomes does not influence outcome of next events.

Not particularly a fallacy.

You have a 50% chance of getting option A and a 50% chance of getting option B in your first game.

You also have a 50% chance of getting either in your second game. But the chance of getting the same one as the previous is actually just 25%. That's just math.

Particularly my point. In fact, quite funnily, League's crit system was intentionally coded to work off of a sort of "deviation" from the Gambler's probability known as the birthday situation (instead of counting your chance to crit, riot actually calculates your chance to NOT crit, and multiplies that probability by itself every time you basic attack [which is why 1% crit runes actually give you about 1.5% crit chance]). Similarly, if you have, say, a 25% chance of getting bad teammates, that means you have a 75% chance of getting good ones. After 3 games with good ones, your chance to get good teammates is technically still 75%, but your chance to NOT get bad teammates is now only 31.6%

That's not actually true since league doesn't have a random match making system, they have a hyper sensitive mmr system.

The MMR is not as sensitive as it is made out to be. Right now the MMR stretches from (supposedly) 0 to 2,717 (roughly, based upon NA Challenger Rank 1 MMR). Currently, it is estimated that there are over 600,000 players on EUNE (The server of the thread creator). Looking at their rank and adjusting for the amount of people playing at their MMR (not including upon worry of getting reported for dissing when, if I can take a second, the thread poster is actually a very decent player) and assuming "at their MMR" denotes within 15 MMR, it is estimated that Mojihito has 136 potential teammates (this number is massively skewed by the difference between their MMR and ladder rank, meaning that it might actually be up to 4 times this number, but once again this is not an insult, but a testament to Mojihito's ability to climb the ladder quicker than the MMR can keep up). Assuming the low estimate of 136 potential teammates, combinations (nCr --> 136C4) state the Mojihito has 13,633,830 possible teams (this is of course assuming that their elo remains constant and that it doesn't matter which role or champion their teammates are in). If we do take into account the champions and roles, the number becomes much, MUCH bigger. Assuming Mojihito mains support (which they do), that leaves 4 roles open (Top, JG, Mid, ADC) which according to champion.gg have 56, 43, 44, and 19 champions, respectively. This means regardless of Mojihito's teammates themselves, there are 2,013,088 champion combinations. Pair this with the number of possible teammate/role possibilities they have (nPr of 136 and 4) at 327,211,920, and you have and estimated game possibility of 327,211,920 C 2,013,088 (which, while I would love to write down the actual number for you guys, is physically impossible for me to do because 1. The number would probably be longer than the rest of my comment, and 2. There is no calculator known to man that would be able to complete that formula in a sane amount of time). My point is that no matter how "sensitive" the MMR may seem, it doesn't change the fact that there are MILLIONS of different teams possible for Mojihito to play with, and once you start messing with numbers that large, random numbers are just part of the system.

For me it's usually 2-4 win -> must lose 1 game

or 2-4 lost -> must win 1 game

Yea. I play support. Matchmaking keeps me down for sure. I grind infinity games and pretty much if you win, RIOT let you win and if you lose you never had a chance.

In silver 5 where there are fucking tons of players RIOT cant make 1 fair match. It's a shitstomp every game.

I climbed a lot as support but something has changed to make it where you have to hard carry heavier and heavier teams. If you win like 6 in a row you will get autofilled adc/jg and solo laners who go 0/6 and never return to their lane.

But as long as a diamond Graves or Riven main can climb out of bronze several months ago elo hell doesnt exist now.

"Hey look! Gosu went from unranked to diamond in 1 night like a year ago! elo hell isnt real!"

DeathBurst1 votes

I can win 60% matches in Silver 5 with my main Champs. I did it 3 different times. I have no doubt about it. And I'm not a Diamond player, I'm just a low Gold, and I play Garen and Sona and a couple of Tanks like Sion/Malph/Gallio. Not exactly the most meta hard-carry champs.

Yeah, people don't realize that between bronze 1 and silver 3 lies about a third of the ranked players. So obviously there is a big skill cap between those players, yet you get bigger gaps than that in one game.

This is where "finding a Ranked team" would come into play

I wish I had the luxury of getting trash teammates only after I go on a winstreak.
