Boots of mobility

sadly i see people buying this too often.

Mobi boots are a trap. if you engage in any sort of combat, you lose your move speed, making this item worthless if you need to run away or catch someone in most cases.

boost of swiftness are better, they provide more move speed than other tier2 boots without any conditions AND reduce slowing effects on you, making it better for sticking to targets AND running away.

Mobility boots are really good for a dedicated roaming champion. That's sort of the problem, since right now seeing a game with a dedicated roamer, the way Ali used to be player, is very rare. Ideally, you'd play it on a champion that supports defensively, but Riot has tried to make supports as a whole more aggresive, and it loses it's value in a fight the moment that you get into the fray. It's really only useful on somebody who wants to either get into the fight, blow all their CDs, and go home, or on someone who wants to be near a fight without being sucked in until a specific moment. With tanky champions abounding, you don't get much value off of waiting for cleanup versus just going in and fighting.

Long story short - Swiftness is better if you ever plan to run after a fight, whether you run back to base or after stragglers. Mobility are only good on someone who just needs to get in there right this second, and not a moment later.

I see it everyday, for some reason intentional feeders love to buy this item, and several of them at it.
