Dodging Ranked Queues

So here is some back story. I was last pick in a q and our first pick and I quote said "troll banning and picking" so he bans a bunch of champs that didn't need to be banned which was okay, but then he mid picks soraka.

I was so tempted to dodge and take the 4 LP loss than the possible 21 LP loss, but instead I stuck it out, I've never dodged before.

We ended up going on to win the game, granted their team was more troll than ours and our ad soraka didn't do too horrible.

But my question now is, is it okay to dodge these games? And why should I be penalized for it. His second comment of the game was on the road from s1 to s5. I'm trying so hard to climb and I think I'm doing okay. But every 10 games I get some troll like this. Dodge or suck it up?

dodging to the best of my knowledge is against the rules.... thats why there is a penalty for it, and an increasing penalty for continuing to do it.... if he is trolling in the pregame chat, or post game chat, then report him, we have to follow the rules we are given and the report function is our means of doing so in this situation... as you said, he didnt do so badly.... your choice though now that you have played the game with him to decide if he was worth reporting or not....

oh, also on a side note, in case you are wondering about 10 days ago Lyte made this quote on a good q/a on reddit of course, not on these boards, but thats a tangent sry...

dodging is perfectly fine, but you dont really ask why its punished do you?
