Basically I have a lot of games under my belt, I have seen it all. I've been in bronze, i've been in silver, I've seen some of the most toxic players in the game... Or have I?

No, I decided to make a new account and play with noobies, why? I dunno. But oh my god! The way these noobies are treated by "experienced" (and I use this term vaguely) players is outrageous. There is absolutely no reason these "experienced" (and again i use this vaguely) players should be treating these new players trying to learn this game so poorly.

I must admit silver players in my experience are way more toxic than bronze, for whatever reason, but now i've seen it. I should almost record my gameplay and show you guys, and or the rito staff. I'm appalled. I'm not even the one getting yelled at by these players but it was enough to make me turn off my computer for the evening. If i was a new player, this would drive me to quit the game.

riot does as well and have already acknowledged that the new player experience sucks.

Just that they are currently deciding to put their efforts to improve overall players experience, instead of just the new players.

Part of it's a side-effect of banning players, unfortunately. Not even just permanent bans, but even 14-day bans, people will just make new accounts to kill time. That on top of the people who smurf for no real reason other than to stomp on new players.

Having recently been leveling a new account myself, I can say that the vitriol you're seeing doesn't really begin to stop until around level 20-ish.

when i started in season 2 ppl flamed me so bad that i thought i really suck at this game( i mean i did i was new) so i only played bot games til lv 30 :/ when you start to smurf the chat is really horrible.

I'm brand new, only at level 10, and the toxicity is insane. Cursing and yelling on beginner bot matches ruins games. I get that losing is not fun, but we are learning and we aren't going to be instantly good. This is a challenging game with a lot of nuances and strategy.

I've encountered some truly nice and helpful people in the short amount of time I've been playing (maybe a month?) but going in to learn and/or just have a good time, as a brand new player who is still unfamiliar with most champions/roles, is impossible.

It makes the whole experience mentally exhausting. I'd quit if I didn't actually enjoy playing so much.
