Thoughts on Essence Reaver's mana sustain

to pull off a 3% of max mana sustain / (hits/crit) takes alot of crit ratio, once you invest in an ER you need atleast 5 hits to get 3% of ur max mana back, in other words.. ER doesent give as much mana back as the old reaver, the old reaver gave you 2% back /hit, at 5 hits you would get 10% mana back instead of 3%, should ER get a buff on that ratio? possibly 5% instead of 3%? i dont know, what do you guys think?

I think it should just restore mana on hit and not on crit to be honest. Or we could just buff Manamune to where more champions need it.

Buffing Manamune is the way to go honestly. Buff it till it's the best flat AD item in the game. That'll shift balance to give mana users an advantage over resourceless champions.

i noticed that they specifically made new items just to synergize with ER. Rito wants more variability in the marksman kit so they made ER the only mana item for strictly auto champs with maramune being the only other substitute. they had to nerf adcs somewhere so the mana hurt early game is not by any means a bad thing. But yeah its kinda dumb its not an on hit regain

essence reaver is already broken. and its not like 100% crit chance lategame isnt possible anymore. including the item itself.

new reaver ruins is garbage for ad casters its strictly adc only

AFAIK, old reaver restored mana in % of damage dealt, not in % of mana max, so I can't see any situation where old reaver was better than the new one in term of mana sustain.

Also keep in mind that if you're going to buy ER, you're probably also going to get another 30% crit at least, to use ERs CDR boost.
