alright to preface, yes im bad, yes i just lost to her, but can someone explain to me, rationally, why lux has a higher base shield then like any other support Champion ? i get that it is technically a skill shot, yes the timing makes it clunky, but i still dont get why that means a ap mage gets to have such a strong shield
The same reason she counters so many strong champions and received like five patches of buffs consecutively last year. Because she sells a lot of skins and is extremely easy to play and does massive damage with very little risk. Typical favorite of players that like to BM and be toxic and thus Riot loves the champion.
lux shield have a delay for full effect, and does no offer any other bonus
lux give 330 + 60% ap total shield with small delay on 66% of it janna give an instant 270 +70% ap shield and a damage buff lulu give 210 +60% ap instant shield and give her passive to that champion, double as an offensive ability as will karma one is weakest at 170 + 50% ap but it give a massive move speed of 60% at max level
