About Azir's Knockup Removal

So, previous to this nerf to Azir, I would do amazing. However, after the nerf, I can hardly play him. The reason? That was his only form of hard cc. I know they are not gonna put it back, for reasons I agree with, however, can we get some form of compensation? My suggestion is a slight knockback, like Quinn has on her E, that cancels channels and slightly moves someone. This would improve his dueling while still keeping counterplay.
