How is vision score calculated?

Just played a Sona game where I laned against an Ali and was looking at post game stuff and noticed that we both dropped 19 wards, I destroyed 3 wards to his 1, and bought 1 pink to his 0 so I beat him in everything but wards placed which we tied in and I ended up with a vision score of 36 and Ali ended with a 38. Is this a bug or is something just seriously wrong with the algorithm? I'm assuming its bugged because I had a blitz game where I placed 26 wards, destroyed 3, and bought 2 control wards and my vision score was 81. Anyone have any information on this?

A ward gives 1 Vision Score per minute that it is up. If it doesn't spot enemy champions often enough, it loses value gradually, down to .5 Vision Score per minute if it's completely useless. Destroying a ward gives 1 Vision Score if it's a Control Ward or Vision Score equal to the remaining duration of the ward. The Scryer's Bloom and Rift Scuttler each grant 1 Vision Score. Overlapping vision reduces the Vision Score given by a ward exponentially. Wards placed in the base give 0 Vision Score. The closer a ward is to your base, the less Vision Score it gives. The closer it is to the enemy base, the more it gives. Using a scanner or control ward to disable enemy wards gives fractions of Vision Score. Edit: Wards spotting active Rift Heralds, Dragons, or Barons give increased Vision Score, and more if they spot the enemy team attempting to take that objective.

The exact numbers here may be slightly off, but you get the gist of it.

It's a fairly complicated system, much more than spotting wards, destroying wards, and placing wards.

the went into this already and i don't remember it all

but its 1 point per min you have vision up over an otherwise fog of war area plus some points for revealing and/or destroying wards

im always top on the list anyways XD so i dont care
