Solid Thresh Build - Talisman of Ascension or just Targons?

Hey all. I was wondering if good solid thresh builds still can include the Talisman of Ascension or is it just all about Targons now?

Depends. Make the decision based on the enemy team comp. For instance do they have a leblanc, ekko, wukong- things that can come out of no where and dive on your carry, targons. Are they a catch comp? Like a hecarim, blitz, lux, morg, darius, nasus- speedy snarey things- consider ascension.

Consider other items as well, if they have a lot of cc, encourage your carry to get a sash and maybe pick up a item 3222 .

Just think about it in relation to what is going to happen at end game. You know certain champs are going to do certain things, so get items to counter those things. Including your decision on targons and ascension.

Right now the game is mostly about lane pressure and towers.

If you're low elo like me and your team neglects controlling waves, get splitpushing items like, item 3068 , item 3512 , item 3060 .

Also many popular champs are just plain fast lately, so you'll need speed and slows to snag em and keep your carry safe. Some situational items I like to get to peel more for my carry- item 3025 , item 3401 (40% 2 second slow), item 3143 (4 second slow). You can also always grab a item 3022 if you just need to slow errything.
