There really is no excuse for Riot to not add voice comm

The whole "toxic player" excuse is moot because we can just mute players. And now with dynamic queue no voice comm puts a huge disadvantage on solo players.

I would rather not see voice chat added. The last thing that I want to hear during a game is actual flaming, porn audio playing, arguing with parents, and turning it off puts you at a disadvantage. If you want to chat so bad, just ask teammates if they have skype or curse or w/e. Plus, it would be impossible for reports and the tribunal to work because they would have to listen to long audio logs.

It's fine the way it is now.

Toxic players, increased bandwidth, reporting people for not having a mic/talking, abuse of younger players and females.

There are TONS of reasons for why not without even getting into the server side for Riot.

Lack of microphones
People being forced to play with low audio
People who play league while listening to music
Toxicity is significantly harder to be tracked
Bandwidth increase (league is supposed to be the most accessible MOBA, this would negate a huge part of that)
Abuse of younger players/females
Server side issues
Riot's spaghetti code, do you REALLY wanna have to deal with MORE of that?
Inappropriate Audio (porn, arguments, etc.)
Disabling voice comms puts you at a huge disadvantage

They should add voice comms, but require people to opt in if they want to use it, like how all chat is off by default.

And if female players and younger players receive excessive abuse, it is the duty of Riot and us the community to ensure a proper environment for everyone.

Not everyone owns a microphone, if you remove toxic players out of the equation, and assume all 10 people are complete strangers suddenly one team has 4 microphones and the other has none. meaning there would be a massive disadvantage

Did any one have read what OP wrote, besides the title? He very clearly said that theres should be a buttom to mute certain players and as I understund to not talk at all if you don't want.

Okay so let's say your team has four plays with a mic, and one without. Your top lane can't tell you when he's TPing down because you know, oh well. Jungler flames him and the support duo comes in and flames top. Now he mutes those two. The other two are just arguing with the other two, you mute the other two so you don't tilt. Now you're all alone, no voice, no mic to talk, no nothing.

MEANWHILE THE OTHER TEAM JUST MUTED ONE PLAYER; And now they have 4 people communicating because they have mics.

It isn't fair for the people who are unable or can't afford a decent mic.

Logitech mics work ( I'm using one tbh ) but only because they're inexpensive. 20 bucks isn't a lot, but the quality can turn to shit and the wires can die so fast it's not worth it.

To be honest; Adding Voice Coms would turn me off of playing League. I have no real WANT to talk to complete strangers. I don't want to meet someone who seems really cool typing, but outside of typing is a complete tilting machine who says the worst stuff when he doesn't get a kill.

Lmao man, you're setting your team at disadvantage even then muting them in chat. Without exceptions people would mute each other in almost every low-mid elo game, might happen in higher elos.

There's a lot of games who have voice chat and they have no exceptions, in every game comunity you could probably find a lot of toxic players.

Edited: the only thing that bothers me, is how toxicity tracking would work, as someone already mentioned.
