Ever demoted from gold?

So I'm on the worst losing streak of my life and have lost like 8 games with 0 lp in gold 5. How much do you think it would take to demote from gold to silver 1?

after climbing to gold from bronze 5 and reaching gold... i was hhappy lol. the enemy opponents were not lol they falt like i cant beleiuve i lost to a trash silver player .... im like what eves. my mmr was like 1800 which was like plat 5 4ish.. why it was that high well when i said i climbed from b5 to gold 5 it was a straight shot. once i reached gold then there were issues and i mean obvious people that were boosted to gold . who goes ad kennen top agasint nasus ......

damn well that's what it took me to fall from g5 to s1

edit: i guess it depends on your mmr, which translates into how much lp you win/lose?

I was demoted from gold last season after a bad losing streak. I got back in pretty much right away, but I was still annoyed it happened. I couldn't say how much it took exactly, but it wasn't some crazy amount. It was something around a 8-10 game losing streak. The fact I was losing so much probably just dumped my mmr really fast. it happened to me last season, I did lose about 10 games so be careful

you generally drop when your MMR has the 3rd division from below so around silver 3 mmr

If op.gg is correct you'll drop after 1 or 2 more losses. But op.gg is fucked right now so you might still be ok.

happened to me on my alt account last season. Your mmr has to drop to like silver 4-5. you can check your mmr at op.gg and see where it estimate its at. It does give you a warning though when your mmr gets really low. It honestly took me forever to get demoted to silver. But sadly, once my mmr got that low it was hard to recover. Luckily it was during preseason so rank didn't really matter and I still got rewards. Was frustrating though was getting 13 lp a win and losing 26.

ok well i did get 16 when this lose streak just ended so maybe I have some small leeway still... but definitely need to PLAY BETTER AND USE MY BRAIN and get a win streak going! :)
