Is just NOT the place to be picking 'late game' picks TM. Vayne/Nasus imo are the biggest offenders along with Kog. Just your pick alone REQUIRES the team to pool all resources into you and pray you click and even then there are plenty of champions that can outdo you late game even unless you are miles ahead.

Sorry but the Doublelift mentality is a plague on Solo Q and no adcs' can NOT and will NOT solo carry games if you pikc dat vayne. or that nasus/veigar w.e slow, weak early game champ you picked in the hopes of gloriously 1 v 5ing. The only way this is happening if you are a diamond/challenger tier vs plat/gold levels

They aren't worthless in a fight. Vayne's ult still gives a big AD steroid, her silver bolts still fucking hurt, her her stun is still good. Nasus has a tremendous slow, armor shred, a great ult and still good damage with his Q even if it isn't 500 stacks. There's still outplays and there is still the chance that the rest of your team can win theirs lanes. When I said they have to cover a bit, I meant they have to not feed and let the game basically end there.

You don't auto-lose a fight because you have a Vayne or a Nasus. They aren't worthless before the late game.

How many times have I seen Nasus/Vayne/Yi farm forever only to get kited/oneshotted in late game team fights despite being farmed as hell?

If they're bad with the late game champ, they're bad without them, too. If they get kited as Vayne, then I think you would have lost with them no matter what. It's not Vayne's fault. The player is just an idiot and that wouldn't change with or without hyper scaling.

Late game champions are absolutely fine in solo queue provided the team can cover a bit for mid and early game. You don't have to go Shaco, Pantheon, Renekton or any other early/mid game champion, but you can't ALL be late game. Champions like Vayne can work very well when the enemy champion isn't too strong early. Like a Twitch or a Jinx or something. Nasus can be absolutely fine when you aren't fighting a Gnar, Lulu, Ryze or Darius. Hell, I actually like to see Nasus when I'm a jungler because camping for him is just so damn easy. Nothing like a slow for 5s when trying to gank, eh? Hell, camping is effective in solo Q because it makes a person go on tilt and give up. Nasus isn't bad when he gets a respectable match up.

Now, the mentality of trying to 1v5 is absolutely terrible, but late game champions are not a problem. It's the idiot behind them that makes all the bad decisions.

Due to the ADC itemization changes, late game ADCs are very strong right now. And above all else it is more about outplaying your opponent, and less about who is strong or weak in the meta.
