Today i had finally promo to plat. as usual,i do my best and get positive score,but i had 2 trolls in a row just in my promo which are 2 losses. had my last chance,everything went great again until Mid went afk for no reason,of course loss and failed promo. magically demoted TO Gold 1 56 lp WTF? almost half of my LP went for no reason,plus no loss prevented. i have 2 questions for you riot. 1.Why do you give loss prevented randomly instead of the losing team when they get afk? 2.the the fuck do i got to 56 lp from 100?

You lose LP for each loss and gain LP for each win. Normally you win some of your matches in a promo so the total isn't that harsh, but when you don't win any you leave promos much lower. For example;

100 LP in to Promo X Loss -15 LP X Loss -15 LP X Loss -15 LP Leave promos at 55 LP

or if you won 2 X Loss -15 LP O Win +20 LP O Win +20 LP X Loss -15 LP X Loss -15 LP Leave promos at 95 LP

It's only enabled when there's a widespread server issue (such as half the players in a region disconnecting).

Happened to me when I lost Gold 2 to Gold 1 promo the first time. Had 50-something LP, even though I won one, lost two. Feels bad man.

That's strange. I only lost something like 30 LP when I lost my series from S5 - S4. LP isn't terribly hard to come by if you're truely deserving of it. With high MMR (compared to your rank) you get a lot more than you lose.

All-in-all, I wouldn't worry much. It sucks, and Riot needs to implement something for AFK losses, but until then, we're all screwed.
