But in all seriousness, LeBlanc's new rework just turned her into a normal mage. Here's a list of mages who do assassin work better (i.e. more consistently and/or more safely) than LeBlanc, some of which aren't even assassins:
New Leblanc is the biggest feast or famine champion I have seen. If you are fed you just go wherever the fuck you want and kill anything you want because no one can do anything. Just chillin' and walkin some random dog you leashed up and BOOM headsplosion. If you aren't fed then good luck getting close to ANYTHING for long enough to do damage. Quick trades? What the fuck are those. If you aren't trading for a whole 1.5 seconds and/or you miss your E, then you do only about 20% of the damage you were supposed to deal, which ends up being like 150 damage (Q+W+ maybe a basic attack). Meanwhile the enemy trades for the full 500 damage and then they go in to close with another 500 upfront damage and you get 70-0'd while you dance around frantically trying to trigger a mark. In games where I don't utterly crush lane I have not been able to do ANYTHING outside of hoping to catch some nooblord out. Which never happens. In teamfights, you always get focused immediately if you try to get close enough for E/RE, and if you accidentally miss a Q wave proc in a fight then fuck your damage.
Oh and somehow every time I try to wave clear with Q it leaves everything with 1 HP and all the minions instantly die and I get nothing. Honestly fuck that shit.
