Honest question

How does Katarina fit into Riot's idea of champions with counter-play. A.) She has assassin level damage, but it's aoe B.) CC isn't an option since she can land most of her damage before the first cc can hit. (Q->E->W->zhonya's(if incoming cc)/e(if she wants to get out/go to next target)/ult(if no cc))

Basically my problem with her is that her kit is that of a reset-assassin, but she scales into it much quicker than anyone else, and she can play with much less risk than any of the other resetters. Plus the aoe makes it so she easily wins team fights by herself.

dont be in range for her to do that watch her as she walks close to your team, CC her immediately and burst her down before shes in range to shunpo to you.

  1. She falls off HARD if she doesn't snowball early on

  2. She has relatively short range for a mage, while also having relatively low single-target burst for an assasin.

  3. Most other mages don't have to put themselves in the middle of an enemy team with no CC

  4. A long list of champions hard counter her by just being around.

The counterplay is to simply not feed during the laning phase. Boom, worthless Katarina.

teammates don't listen to pings, it seems, resulting in boom double kill bottom lane. seems to happen like clockwork otherwise you're right on the money
