What's Up With Zed's Ban Rate?

Title. I have a hard time understanding how Zed is banned so often, despite his generally sub-par win rate. I'm talking like a 47% win rate or so (hovering around there) but a 20% ban rate. Is he really worth the ban and I'm just missing it, or is it generally just a hate ban to avoid playing against Zed?

One more thing is his play rate, which is building off of the previous statement. His play rate seems to be declining a lot, yet people are still banning him as often as they can. This only furthers my confusion.

TL;DR: How does Zed have a 47% win rate, barely 5% play rate, but a 20% ban rate?

Using LoLking as a source for the ban rate. Win rates across op.gg , champion.gg, and lolking are relatively consistent.

Not because he's OP; Just he's 100% un-targetable in ult while having the potential to one shot champs as soon as he hits 6. He has the ability to fly across lane hitting one ability for a guaranteed kill, then flying back across lane unharmed in one rotation of spells. He's one of the safest lanes to play in the game as well with 0 mana and spam able blades.

Most champs aren't getting banned from power level, but the annoyance there kit can bring to games. With 10 bans the OP ones are guaranteed bans so why not ban something you just don't want to see?

A win rate alone hardly ever properly justifies a champion being under or over powered. I think the high ban rate is because there are a lot of people that don't understand how to personally deal with playing against a "good" Zed. Zed is one of the more mechanically intensive assassins which leads to A LOT of people playing him poorly which could bring his win rate down, but a well played Zed like any other assassin can be a monster. :)

Hope this helps I'm not stating whether or not he is currently under or over powered rather I'm explaining why his ban rate is so high for his lowish win rate.

The reason is because he is an assassin with a Xerath Range Poke.
