Gangplank "One Part"/"Ghost/Phantom Barrel"

I'm just curious about this mechanic on GP, since he's my main. I can do it just fine now that I've had practice (praise practice tool) but I have a few questions about it.

1). Does anyone know who invented this? I'm pretty sure it was a high elo GP main who discovered it by accident but does anyone know who?

2). What this an intended mechanic, or just one that was discovered and Riot ok'd it?

3). If Riot is okay with it, do you think they would make it easier to do in the future? (If a Riot member responded, that would be dope, but speculation is just as ok ^^)

Its an invisible barrel. No matter how you spin it that HAS to be a bug.

Well, not really. It's more of "exploding a barrel before you can attack it so that you can't respond"

.... Which is also a bug, because barrel counterplay is supposed to be the minigame.

Well no. It requires setup and a lot of skill to pull off. It takes 3+ barrels, setup before hand, is still pretty telegraphed, and is fairly hard to pull off.

I'm not talking about the triple barrel. I'm talking about the one part. Shoot a barrel from max range then quickly place another for an instant explosion. It's incredibly hard to pull off but I can do it consistently, which is why I wanna know if the mechanic was intended or just unexpected and allowed.

Kinda late but the counterplay the barrels is the fact that you can break it before GP does. If multiple people attack the barrel with an AA he loses the damage entirely, especially if he needs to play aggressively.
