Gangplank Parrrley Eternal Bug

I'll just get to the point: Gangplank's Parrrley Gold eternal only works when Gangplank Q's individual minions. If he shoots a keg and gets Parrrley gold this way, it does not count toward the eternal. Personally I find it counter-intuitive if this is the intended way to level the eternal as Gangplank will rarely be using Q on individual minions due to the early game mana cost, along with the early-mid game Triforce allowing for easier keg farming (hence why I believe this is a bug). Does anyone know yet if this is the intended function or if it is simply a bug not picking up the Parrrley gold gained from kegs?
