What if Aatrox could choose which type of q he used?

I think there's a weird awkwardness with his q and e …. So what if when he used his q he could choose which one he could use. I imagine it would aim something like Wukong's transformation ability from SMITE where depending on how far from the player the cursor is he would use the short, medium, or long ranged one (Which is ultimately what the 3rd, 2nd, and 1st swings are respectively)

There could be some limitations on it like maybe you can still only use 1 of each before it goes on cd. I think that would make it a lot better for skillcap wise and just the overall feeling of the ability because when you are already on top of the opponent 2/3 of the q is almost useless when you have to move AWAY from the target to use it the most effectively.
